Best Street Art and Murals in Lisbon

Do you love street art like me?  Then Lisbon's graffiti and murals don't disappoint!  I'm quite happy to photograph these murals of my newly adopted city while on my walks and sightseeing excursions.

In Portugal's capitol city street art decorate buildings' facades, walks, bridges, etc. and perfectly complements the city's varied architectural landscapes allowing the old and new to coexist harmoniously coexist.
The prominence of street art in Lisbon is no accident. It’s a cosmopolitan city and has embraced modern art forms, such as graffiti, instead of resisting them.
Partnerships between municipalities and arts organizations have elevated the stature of street art in Lisbon and have led to its abundance. The Lisbon City Council established Galeria Arte Urbana under the Department of Cultural Heritage specifically to promote graffiti and street art in Lisbon.
So as you wander around Lisbon, look up, look down and look around. We promise you won’t be disappointed.
