After our tour of the cathedral, we decided to head to Tybee Island, a beautiful stretch of sand just outside town. Tybee Island is a beach destination in its own right, but it’s equally satisfying as just an afternoon trip.
We checked out the beach, saw the lighthouse and museum (we decided not to take a tour of the museum because it was almost closing time) but enjoyed wandering around.
After we wandered around a bit, we ate dinner Spanky’s (located at 1605 Strand Ave, Tybee Island, GA 31328) where there was a resident cat sleeping on one of the chairs.
