Ingredients:
4 cups of cubed, seedless watermelon (chilled)
Juice of 1 lime (optional, but adds a bright zing!)
A few fresh mint leaves (optional)
Ice cubes (for serving)
Add the watermelon cubes to a blender. If you like a tart twist, add the lime juice.
Blend until smooth.
(Optional) Strain through a fine mesh sieve to remove pulp, depending on your texture preference.
Pour into a glass over ice.
Garnish with fresh mint leaves and a watermelon wedge if you’re feeling fancy!
Tip: For a tropical twist, blend in some fresh pineapple or coconut water or make watermelon lemonade!
Watermelon is about 92% water and contains electrolytes like potassium, making it a great natural hydrator—especially after exercise or a hot day outdoors.
2. Rich in Antioxidants:
It’s packed with lycopene and vitamin C, two powerful antioxidants that help protect cells from damage, support skin health, and may reduce the risk of chronic diseases.
3. Supports Heart Health:
Lycopene has been linked to lowering cholesterol and blood pressure levels. Watermelon also contains citrulline, an amino acid that may improve blood flow and reduce blood pressure.
4. Soothes Muscles:
Citrulline may also help reduce muscle soreness after workouts—great news if you’re staying active!
5. Naturally Low-Calorie:
With no added sugars needed, watermelon juice is naturally sweet and low in calories, making it a satisfying, guilt-free treat.
