Looking for a drink that’s as beautiful as it is refreshing? This Strawberry Basil Lemonade is a fruity twist on a classic favorite, blending the sweet juiciness of ripe strawberries with the zesty brightness of fresh lemon and a subtle hint of fragrant basil. It’s the perfect balance of sweet and tart, with a vibrant pink hue that makes it just as eye-catching as it is delicious. Whether you're hosting a summer picnic, celebrating Lemonade Day, or simply cooling off on a warm afternoon, this pretty-in-pink lemonade is sure to impress and delight!

Strawberry Basil Lemonade
Servings: 6-8
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Chill Time (optional): 1 hour

Ingredients:
1 pound fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 4–6 lemons)
1/2 cup fresh basil leaves, lightly packed
3/4 to 1 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
5 cups cold water, divided
Ice, for serving
Optional garnish: extra basil leaves, lemon slices, strawberry halves

Instructions:
1. Make the Strawberry Basil Syrup:
In a blender, combine the strawberries, basil leaves, sugar, and 1 cup of water.
Blend until smooth.
(Optional: strain through a fine mesh sieve for a smoother lemonade.)

2. Mix the Lemonade:
In a large pitcher, combine the fresh lemon juice and the strawberry-basil mixture.
Add the remaining 4 cups of cold water and stir well.

3. Taste & Adjust:
Taste and adjust sweetness or tartness by adding more sugar or lemon juice as needed.

4. Chill:
Refrigerate for at least 1 hour if you prefer it cold and more infused.

5. Serve:
Pour over ice into glasses.
Garnish with a sprig of basil, a slice of lemon, and a fresh strawberry if desired.

Tips:
For a fizzy version, replace 2 cups of the water with sparkling water just before serving.
