This vibrant drink combines the natural sweetness of fresh watermelon with the zesty brightness of lemons, creating a fun and flavorful twist on classic lemonade. It’s easy to make, incredibly refreshing, and just the thing to serve at your next backyard gathering or picnic in the sun. Bonus: it looks just as good as it tastes.
Ingredients:
4 cups fresh watermelon chunks (seedless)
1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4–6 lemons)
½ cup honey or agave syrup (adjust to taste)
2 cups cold water (or sparkling water for a fizzy twist)
Ice cubes
Lemon slices, fresh mint or basil (for garnish)
Add the watermelon chunks to a blender and blend until completely smooth. Pour through a fine mesh strainer into a large pitcher to remove pulp, if desired.
Stir in the freshly squeezed lemon juice and honey or agave syrup. Mix well until the sweetener is fully dissolved.
Add 2 cups of cold water (or sparkling water if serving immediately) and mix again. Taste and adjust sweetness or tartness as needed.
Fill glasses with ice. Pour the watermelon lemonade over ice, garnish with a lemon slice and a sprig of fresh mint or basil.
Enjoy!
