4.2 ~ Ask Empowering Questions and More Ways to Manifest
Ask Empowering Questions
“Quality questions create a quality life. Successful people ask better questions, and as a result, they get better answers.” ~Anthony Robbins
I spent the better part of 15 years asking the dumbest questions. “Why am I so dumb?” “Why am I so screwed up?” “What’s wrong with me?” “Why do I struggle?” or “What’s wrong with the world?”
My mind loved these questions, and I always seemed to have the best answers. “Because you had didn’t have a dad and you grew up poor.” “Because you’re fat.” “Because you are stupid.”
My mind never seemed to run out answers for my silly questions. The result? A reactive routine–avoiding risks and failure, not exercising, eating junk food, and constant negativity. I based who I thought I was on the answers I received from my disempowering questions.
Here’s what you need to know. The mind loves to work. Have you ever noticed how it rarely shuts up? It is a problem solver, so if you ask for reasons why you can’t do something or why you are hopelessly flawed, it will work diligently to solve the problem and provide you with the answer. But, believe it or not, your brain is just as capable of answering questions such as, “How am I so amazing?” “How can I make a million dollars?” or “How can I permanently create a slim body?”
First, you must decide what you desire in the different areas of your life. Let’s pretend you desire to travel to Europe, write a book, and add some spice to your marriage this year. First of all, you must ask empowering questions based on your desires.
For example:
How can I book a trip to Europe this year?
What can I write a book about?
How can I create romance (or more romance) in my relationship?
This is much different than asking:
Why am I so broke?
Why is it so hard for me to write?
Why is my husband so unromantic?
When you’ve identified your desires and created your empowering questions, you build your daily routines by filtering your actions and decisions based on your desires.
Consider these ideas:
When considering a new sofa purchase, ask yourself: Will this purchase help me get to Europe?
When asked to teach a 3-month class, ask yourself: Is this a step toward writing my book?
When pondering on buying more lingerie, ask yourself: Will this add more romance to my marriage?
My day is built around questions. I am constantly asking myself questions, such as:
How can I feel better?
How can I grow my business?
How can I have fun?
Empowering questions put you in control and guide your daily decisions.
Manifesting Processes
1. The Number 8. In Numerology, the Number 8 is the highest frequency of manifestation. If you put the number 8 on its side it is the infinity symbol - a double loop that never stops.
I carry a piece of paper in my wallet next to my dollar bills with the number 8 on it. What this does is open up Universal abundance and money flow.
