Recipes

Are all the recipes yours?
All the recipes are mine unless otherwise noted.
All recipes are gluten free and soy free unless otherwise noted.

I am not a trained chef, but learned to cook from Mama Elaine (my adopted Italian mama), my boss (at the Department of the Air Force, my first real job) who would give me a recipe each Friday and I would have to cook it over the weekend and report back on Mondays and a few classes at Sur La Table.

When I learned that I was gluten sensitive, I felt very sorry for myself. What could I eat? Thank goodness for Whole Foods and their gluten free food selection.

This got very expensive very fast. So I decided to get in the kitchen and start experimenting on my own.

Who Takes Your Photos?
All the photos are taken by yours truly. It took me awhile to grasp the concept of lighting, angles and props in food photography but I believe I have grown while learning. I am very happy with where I am at now. So you’ll notice a vast difference in quality between the old stuff and the new stuff. I still cringe at the old stuff and I might redo them one day but until then, they’re still very yummy recipes.
If you’ve tried one of my recipes, please share! If you’ve taken a picture, please email it or send me the link; I would love to link to your blog and credit the photo to you.
