4.3 How I Manifested My Husband with Feng Shui
By now, you’ve done a lot of work and taken many steps to bring you closer in tune with your destiny and who you really are.
You can look back on your progress over the past couple of weeks with a sense of pride and satisfaction and feel excited by some of the changes you’ve implemented.
What you’ve likely also noticed is that you feel happier and generally more satisfied with your life because you’re moving forward.
This is the super-fun part, because this is where the real Deliberate Creation starts to happen.
This is the point at which people around you are going to look at your success and say, “How’d you do that? You made it look so easy!”
When they look at your success, see all the goals you’re achieving and dreams you’ve seen come true, they’re going to think that you’re a magician. And truthfully, you are!
You and I both know that it was anything but easy to get where you are right now. You’ve worked hard in so many ways: changing old beliefs, thinking new thoughts, visualizing your desires, meditating, repeating affirmations, practicing gratitude and so much more.
You’ve put an incredible amount of time and energy to get from where you were, living a life that wasn’t in tune with the real you, to where you are now, living more in tune with your personal destiny and moving closer to fulfilling all of your dreams with every step you take.
How to become the CEO of your mind
Guess what?! You just got promoted! YOU are now CEO of the world headquarters at You, Inc. Your duty is to cultivate a mindset that you can create anything you want anytime you want.
And you do that you must be diligent about what you think. and the energy that you put off.
Think about it this way: if you were the CEO of a company, would you allow employees to work for you that were constantly draining the company’s energy? Of course not, because eventually, those people would run your company into the ground. Negative thoughts are no different.
Consider your thoughts to be employees of you. You only want the best ones in the boardroom. The others you must “let go” or relegate to the mail room, not your boardroom.
So, if you walk around and think the following thoughts each day, imagine how they’re shaping your body and life:
“I don’t have enough time to exercise.”
“I’m too busy to cook.”
“I’m fat.”
“It’s too hard.”
“It’s too late.”
“I don’t deserve it.”
“I’m not enough.”
“Life is out of control.”
“I can’t help myself.”
“I’m overwhelmed.”
“I’m not lovable.”
“I’m confused.”
“I don’t know what to do.”
“I’m bored.”
“I’m too old.”
“I don’t know what I want!”
“Aging sucks.”
Here’s the deal: you are not your thoughts BUT as Mike Dooley says, “Thoughts become things.”
At one point, everything around you – your computer, a pen, your home, what you’re wearing – was just someone’s thought before they manifested it into reality.
You may think that it’s your circumstances (i.e. your weight, relationships, financial status) that separates you from the woman you want to be, but it’s not. It’s your thinking!
Your role is to constantly reach for better feeling thoughts, and over time, new beliefs will yield new results.
Here is your You Inc. manifesto:
You are not your thoughts. Every thought you think is an act of creation. Your inner world shapes your outer world.
Your beliefs influence what you eat, who you hang out with, your bank account, what you wear, your health — basically your entire life.
Thoughts carry energy. And, it’s the energy of the thought that is creating your life, not the thought itself.
You must learn to manage your thoughts by promoting the ones that are aligned with your core values and essence words and changing the ones that don’t.
At You Inc., it’s important to create a company culture rooted in values, such as self-love, pleasure and quality living which requires quality thinking. As CEO, you are in charge and that means that you must manage your mind if you want to live a scrumptious life.
So, are you up for the promotion? I hope so.
Manifesting Processes
1. Feng Shui.
I first became interested in Feng Shui (pronounced “fung shway”) in 1996 when a girlfriend and I were at a book store. She was looking at this book called Western Guide to Feng Shui by Terah Kathryn Collins. After she put it down, I picked it up, started reading and was fascinated. I bought the book and have been hooked on Feng Shui ever since. I became a certified Feng Shui practitioner in 1999.
Feng Shui, a Chinese term meaning “Wind and Water” originated in China more than 3,000 years ago. The ancient practice of Feng Shui is concerned with picking the most favorable location for building homes as well as how to blend harmoniously with your surroundings. By placing one’s home or business with the natural flow of energy, it helps to promote health, love, happiness and success for the home’s or business’ owners.
Today, we don’t have the luxury of choosing the most auspicious site for our home or business. We usually take what is available and/or what we can afford. Therefore we must look to more contemporary applications of Feng Shui to create harmony around the existing dwellings in which we work and reside.
The Bagua Map
The Bagua (pronounced “bah-gwah”) is a map which is divided into nine equal sections called “guas”. Each gua correlates to a particular part of you life, such as wealth and prosperity, fame, love and relationship, family, health, children & creativity, self knowledge & spirituality, career, helpful people and travel. In addition to specific areas, it has colors, elements, compass directions, and areas of the body associated with each gua.

In addition to specific areas, it has colors, elements, compass directions, and areas of the body associated with each gua.
To use the Bagua Map, you will overlay it over any lot, building, house, apartment, room, or piece of furniture. You will align the bottom edge of the map with the wall through which you enter the structure. This means that you will always enter a room or building through Self Knowledge & Spirituality, Career or Helpful People and Travel depending on where the door is located. If the building is irregularly shaped, you will have a part of all of a gua missing and this will become evident when you overlay the map.
When chi enters the office (or home/room), it goes to the center of the dwelling and then disperses out to the nine guas from there. The flow of chi is directed and shaped by the space itself (is it rectangular or square? does it have long hall ways?) as well as by all the objects in its path. Because this causes certain energy patterns to develop you may want to re-think any clutter you have both in your office as well as your home and body. You can’t be well organized at work and have a cluttered house and expect it not to affect you.
These energy patterns attract the chi of our bodies to that of the world, drawing to us life situations (people, opportunities, relationships, etc.) like a magnet. The energy of our life experiences is then transferred back into the world. Therefore, it is possible to influence the energetic flow you experience by making simple alterations to things in the environment and coming into balance with the natural flow of life all through the use of the Bagua Map.
To begin to create a more harmonious environment, you will need to look at the areas of your life and what gua is associated with it. Ask yourself, if that area of your life is working or does it need a little help. Pick one to three areas that you would like to enhance. Next, look for things which may be adversely affecting these areas. Clear out any congestion. In the same way that congestion within the body creates a myriad of problems (both health as well as in a relationship), the obstruction of energy flow in the office (or home) can create similar problems. One of the biggest culprits of energetic congestion is clutter. Clutter prevent chi from moving freely. Get rid of it. You’ll immediately feel the difference.
After you have cleared the clutter, you will want to gain clarity of what you want in each of the areas you want to enhance. Our offices and homes are a reflection of us. Is the space an accurate reflection? What do you want the space to do for you? When we have focused intentions, we gain some power over the forces that shape our lives.
Feng shui is a powerful system for working to restore proper energetic alignment in all aspects of our lives and create the life we desire.
Feng Shui Your Wallet for Increased Income
Did you know that your home, especially your front entrance, stove and master bedroom, can affect your wealth and prosperity? Well, so can your wallet!
Using Feng Shui when you select and organize your wallet can also help you increase your income. Here's how.
Choosing Your Wallet Thoughtfully
Like a bra, never buy a wallet just for the brand name or for how it looks. Instead, your wallet should be large enough to hold everything you need in terms of paper money and coins, with separate sections for each. As money likes order, you should line up your notes so that they lie in the same order and notes of the same amount together. If possible, buy a wallet where the banknotes can freely fit into the wallet without being folded as money doesn't like being wrinkled or creased.
Make sure that your new wallet should is large enough to contain more money than is usually kept in it – this should help attract more money to fill the free space.
When you select a wallet, it doesn't have to cost a lot of money, but the #1 Feng Shui rule for your wallet is don’t buy it unless you absolutely love it – and then treat it that way. Creating wealth is all about living a specific experience. When you take your wallet out of your handbag, it should make you feel good.
Many times, people find a wallet they like and use it until it begins falling apart. You shouldn't be ashamed of your wallet. So when this happens, it's time to treat yourself to a new wallet, one that reflects your goals, who you are, and the positive experiences you want to create in your life.
What Goes In Your Wallet (and what doesn't)
Just as family photos don't belong in the master bedroom, they don't belong in your wallet, either. Your wallet's focus should be on money -- attracting it and holding on to it. Consider a Digital Photo Key Chain on or keep photos on your smartphone, instead.
Some people believe you should limit the number of credit cards you carry in your wallet as credit cards represent debt. But credit cards may also represent wealth, since you need good credit and some level of income to obtain a card. You may not need to keep every single card you have in your wallet, but it's okay to keep the ones you use regularly, enjoy carrying, or want to have handy in an emergency.
If there is a high-end credit card you have that makes you feel proud to carry it, give that one a place of honor in your wallet and feel good about your financial life when you pull it out of your new wallet that makes you feel equally happy and secure.
Avoid Wallet Clutter
Your money should be easily arranged, not rammed into a wad (because that wouldn’t show respect, right?), and your credit cards should be easily accessible.
Don't keep receipts in your wallet, as these represent spending money, rather than acquiring it. Make time each night, or once a week, to empty your wallet of receipts, business cards and random scraps of paper you accumulate.
Keep it clean, organized, and in good shape. Recently I noticed that the leather on the back of my wallet was looking worn and starting to fray.
I immediately took all of my money and credit cards out and am using my Vera Bradley travel wallet until I can get to the store to buy a new one as I usually prefer leather wallets.
Your money mojo will be activated and you’ll have more to spend and save. Show some wallet love!
After reading this, go check the shape of your wallet? Does it need to be reorganized, decluttered or replaced?
How I Manifested My Husband With Feng Shui
Around 2003, I was feeling absolutely fabulous in all areas of my life except for romance. I had dated some but my business was really a priority at the time. With my business where I thought it should be, I decided I was ready for a relationship ~ and to possibly get married.
I decided to use Feng Shui to manifest this. I wrote on a piece of red paper all of the qualities that I wanted in a significant other including the statement “This or something better manifests for me now, harming no one and for the good of all concerned” and placed it in the Love & Relationship area of my dresser.
Then I went around my house and removed all of the “single” objects and also tried to pair things (i.e. two candles, two chairs, etc.)
And then I went about my life open to the opportunities that came my way to meet men and date. In November 2005, I met Nicolas while vacationing in Crete. We really hit it off and dated long distance. He even asked me to marry him. But I decided that he was not the right one.
In May 2006, I encouraged my girlfriend who had been divorced for sometime that she needed to get back in the game and start dating. One of my clients owned a speed dating company called Brief Encounters so I talked her into going. Although she said that she would only go if I went too.
I remember saying to her, “I’ll go but I don’t want to meet anyone” as I had already sold my business and was to move to Costa Rica in November of that year.
Well I met Gary that night. We hit it off and began dating. I told him from the start that we could hang out together but I’m moving to Costa Rica in November and long distance relationships don’t work (as I had just tried that with Nicolas).
We traveled together to Costa Rica in August so he could see where I was going to live. Then we went to Cabo in October right before I was to move. He asked me to marry him on that trip. So instead of moving my stuff to Costa Rica when I got back from Cabo, I moved them to his house.
We got married July 8, 2007.
It took about three years, but Gary fulfills all of the items that I had put on that red piece of paper and activated with Feng Shui.
