Our First Experience with AirBnB

Gary and I juste returned from 9 days in the Greater Phoenix area. We stayed at an AirBnb – our first time – and wanted to let you know our experience.

Gary and I are thinking about moving to Arizona (yay!), but more on that later. So we just did a reconnaissance trip to check out the greater Phoenix area and see which area we might like to move too.

When we travel, we usually opt for timeshares or hotels. But this time, we decided to try an AirBnb (is a company that provides an online place for people to both rent out their spare spaces, and book other people’s accommodations online) so that we could cook a few of our meals to help save some money (we’re going to be moving, and with all of the moving expenses, every little bit helps, right?).

So I found The Coach House. At the time I booked this property didn’t have any reviews but he had another locations so I went off of the reviews for that property. It turns out that we are only the 2nd group to stay in the unit — which is why everything looked so new.
The Kitchen

The Kitchen was well stocked with everything you would want to cook meals during your stay. My one request would have been a vegetable steamer basket because steamed broccoli in the microwave is just not as good.

The day before we left, I saw Tim’s mom in the backyard and she asked me how everything was and if I had any recommendations – so I told her about the steamer basked
The Dining Area

The dining area was comfortable and it doubled as our desk for checking emails and general computer work.

My one suggestion for Tim (although I didn’t tell him this) would be to raise the cow artwork a few inches. I tended to sit in the chair that was right in front of this picture and was always afraid that the chair was going to rub up against it and damage it.
