How Coaching Works
· Initially you’ll talk with your coach for an intake session at which time you will get to know each other, set goals, set expectations, cover the administrative process and the tools that will be used during the coaching process. There is an initial appointment fee to gather information determine needs, and set goals.
· Together, you will design your specific program and set the structure for the coaching relationship. Typically this is a weekly call with some intermittent communication. As the client, you are a responsible partner in the relationship and fully responsible for your life. While your coach is committed to your success, you alone are responsible for creating the life you want.
· Typically people come to coaching because they want better results or because they want results they can’t achieve on their own. They want significant life change. That means stakes are high. The coaching relationship can be energizing, exciting and inspiring. Your coach is committed to your ultimate goals which means that coaching will challenge, incite, motivate, encourage and sometimes demand action. Coaching gets to the heart of the matter. It is not a casual conversation with a friend. It asks tough questions and calls for commitment in ways that will change your life.
· The coaching relationship is one of deep trust, honesty and confidentiality. Right from the start, you know your coach is fully committed to you and your quest to create a rich and fulfilling life.
